Information Literacy - An International Perspective
To continue the information literacy disscusion, now that we've looked at a standard American view of information literacy from ACRL, I'd like to look at more international definitions.
Does the American view of information literacy differ from that of England, Europe, and the non-western world? The CLA (Canadian Library Association) Information Literacy Interest Group has a blog site at: http://blog.uwinnipeg.ca/ilig/
Here's a IL site from the UK: http://www.informationliteracy.org.uk/
How will international perspectives shape our definition of information literacy and our various implementation/education strategies?
